A writer from Barcelona embarks on a residency at an artists’ retreat near New York. A few years after his separation, and now a father accustomed to solitude, he feels the urge to step beyond his familiar boundaries—to see the world anew, to renew his gaze, and to open himself to what lies unforeseen. Yet even as he seeks distance, the pull of Barcelona—a city he can never quite abandon—remains.

Amid new encounters, cultural crossings, and the restless energy of New York, he is compelled to confront questions he has long evaded. His solitude slowly yields to a fascination with Sarah, a fellow resident, who awakens in him a hidden version of himself—one he had kept buried, waiting to be revealed.
